Our Rates:
Our rates include access to snorkeling equipment and our double
beach kayak.
Snorkeling gear = (12 sets masks/snorkels - US Divers quality) and 6
sets of fins (size 7 to 11). Please bring your own if bigger or smaller.
Kitchenette/Apartments (short term - less than 30 days)
Our kitchenettes are $75 per night. This includes a quality queen size bed, 4 burner cooking
top/stove, hot water, writing/computer desk and water/sunset views. We can provide you an
additional sofa sleeper (double) or queen air mattress to sleep up to 2 additional children per
room. ($15). The additional charge is for linens and laundry.
Family homes (short term - less than 30 days)
Our family homes sleep up to 6. (King size and queen size) The homes are $130 per night
for the first couple, add $20 per person after the first two. We do not charge for children 2 and
under. However, above 2 involves linens, utilities - 'impact'. Therefore, children over 2 are
charged as a person.
Long Term stay (30 days plus) - Kitchenettes or Family homes
We can rent to you for a long term stay, but there can be several variables. Please contact us
directly and we can discuss your individual/family needs.
Conference/Group scheduling
If you'd like to consider the Lodge for a WORK/TRAINING CONFERENCE or Group/Family
REUNION, we would be glad to customize an entire week for your needs. Please contact us
directly and we can discuss your parties' needs. For planning purposes, we are prepared to
offer group 'room only' pricing as follows:
2 Apartments = $150night
3 Apartments = $225/night
4 Apartments = $300/night
The advantage to the apartments is they provide more individual space (private bedroom,
bath, kitchen) vs the homes. There is an additional 3000 + sq ft of public covered space
which is available to ALL patrons. (TV room, library, Internet space, BBQ area, hammocks,
outdoor lounge, etc)
However, if one home does not completely suit your needs, but you need a bit more space,
we can also offer the following:
House + 1 Apt = $250/night
House + 2 Apt = $325/night
House + 3 Apt = $400/night
The Casitas, under the Property Mgmt tab, show their
prices along with the property pictures.
Casitas vs Apts (??) really depends on what you prefer. The Apts are closer to all of the
Lodge 'Services' (Internet, DirecTV, the Lodge kichen), plus about $25/night less. The
properties we manage give you additional privacy, with the Lodge services in the area. All of
the area beaches are accessible.
Transportation:
In Panama City, we use Jose' Seanz, a local transport coordinator.

for intra-city transportation. His drivers speak english, the cars and buses are clean and they
are normally on time. We suggest you contact Jose directly and supply him your logistics
details. He will coordinate meeting you at the Tocumen International Airport (Panama City)
and bringing you to a quality hotel. We normally stay at the Hotel El Parador, now.($55+ /per
night) The El Parador has an outdoor pool on the rooftop which gives you a great view of
Panama City and heat relief for your first night in Panama City. Jose can make you a
reservation at the El Parador or another quality hotel of your choice. The El Parador location is
excellent for shopping, restaurants and casinos...
Also transfers to the Al Brook airport for the flight to Bocas del Toro island can be coordinated
by Jose'. All transport and hotel fees are paid by you directly to Jose'. Please see our
transportation/logistics page for the protocol on flights, etc. By the way, there is no
commission for us. We just pass this information on to allow you to coordinate a nice
welcome and organization into Panama City. If you'd like us to organize this we can, for a
small fee.
Bocas Airport Pickup:
In Bocas, we'll have you picked up at the airport. The surface transport fee is $25 for up to
four people, a bit more as the group's become larger. The trip by car to/from town is about 40
minutes. Most of the ride is paved, but there is about 2.5 miles of hard packed/rocky, roads
we maintain.
Come by boat - We can now have you met at the airport, given a quick shopping tour of town
and whisked out by boat to Drago beach, or our beach (weather permitting). This way your
bags and food are brought out by car and your party comes in by boat. It is a great introduction
to Bocas and gets you in the water and on the beach, ASAP. If the boat lands in Drago, there
is the restaurant there for food and refreshment. If you want the captain to tour you around
some, he can, they'll just be an extra time and gas charge. But this is a great way to start your
vacation in Bocas. Price = $60 minimum, up to four persons. We can get larger boats for
bigger groups. (Price is typically $15 per person to capacity of the boat)
Rental Vehicles:
We have pool vehicles that are available on a daily, or hourly basis. Our Mitsubishi Montero
4x4 seats six , with a rack on top for 'stuff' and surfboards....The Montero rents for $75 per day
(24 hours) or hourly at $7.50 per hour. Since the main island is 10 miles long and 4 miles
wide, it is worth it to rent the Montero for a day, or two, and do your own self paced tour. I can
recommend a route for you, etc. You can also do any shopping and dining while you're out
and about.
Taxis can also be called and scheduled. At last inquiry, taxis are $25 each way to/from town
for 'unscheduled' transport. To the seafood restaurant, Yarisnori, nearby is $7.50, each way.
The Montero can be used for a flat fee of $15, to the Yarisnori restaurant. That way you can
take your time and not be concerned with taxis for the return.
NEW - We have also decided that if you are just going to town and back for dinner, etc. We
can charge a flat fee of $40. This gives you the flexibility of having your own car, but alleviates
some of the time pressures. If several groups want to rent the car together, that's also OK....
Reservation procedure:
For reservations, we require the first 50% of your reservation total to secure your lodging and
dates. The remaining 50% is due 30 days before your arrival. We have to do this to minimize
the amount of cash held at the Lodge. We do have credit card service at the Lodge. Please
use the PayPal interface available with the 'Buy Now' button on the left of this page. Simply
enter in your deposit $ amount for the 'Quantity' field in the Pay Pal interface. This allows a
secure transaction and payment assurance for you. We never see your credit card number.
PayPal is the online payment system utilized and developed by Ebay.
To reserve an apartment, simply calculate your number of nights at the Lodge. For example, 7
nights (Saturday night thru Friday night) times $75 per night = $525. This rate excludes local
lodging taxes. (10%) You would then enter '263' in the Quantity field of the PayPal interface.
To reserve one of our homes, simply calculate your number of nights at the Lodge. For
example, 7 nights (Saturday night thru Friday night) times $150 per night (3 adults) = $1,050.
This rate excludes local lodging taxes. (10%) Remember to add $20 per day per extra person
over the first two. You would then enter '525' in the Quantity field of the PayPal interface.
No charge for children two and under. (If you dare to bring them...)
To reserve your dates, send 50% of the estimate via the Pay Pal interface, to the left on this
page. Simply enter in your deposit $ amount for the 'Quantity' field in the Pay Pal interface.
Upon receipt we will confirm your dates and amounts received, via email.
The balance is due 30 days prior to your arrival. Credit card transactions on the island are
subject to a 5% surcharge, which we see none of...If you'd like to avoid the surcharge,
please use our Pay Pal interface in advance of your arrival. We will also confirm receipt in
full via email.
If you are not comfortable with the Pay Pal interface, please send personal checks to Mark

If you do think you will participate in some of our activities you might want to add a few$ to
your final reservation payment to cover these, or meals, or taxes. That way you do not

our cash on hand needs here at the Lodge. Your decision...
Refund Policy:
We can provide you a full refund given a 30 day cancellation notice.
For cancellations given less than 30 days, we need to factor in whether we are able to rent
the subject lodging for the days which were reserved. If we can rent those 'days cancelled',
there will only be a $50 service charge. For those days, we are not able to rerent we will need
to hold your deposit $ to cover those 'non rented' days.
No shows = no refund.
Exceptional circumstances can be discussed further and mitigated fairly.
We have used this policy in managing properties in Colorado for years and it has worked fairly
for all involved.
