Our 2 person, blue, sea kayak, on the beach is available.

Kitchenette/Apartments (short term - less than 7 days)
As of 01-Jan-11, our kitchenettes are $40 per night. This includes a queen size bed, 4 burner
cooking top/stove, hot water, writing/computer desk and water/sunset views. We can provide
you an additional sofa sleeper (double) or queen air mattress to sleep up to 2 additional
children per room. ($15). The additional charge is for linens and laundry.
Family homes (short term - less than 7 days)
As of 01-Jan-11, our family homes sleep up to 6. (King size and queen size) The homes are
$100 per night for the first couple, $150 for the house for more than 2 persons.
Long Term stay ( greater than 7 days) - Kitchenettes or Family homes
We can rent to you for a long term stay, but there can be several variables. Please contact us
directly and we can discuss your needs.
Conference/Group scheduling
If you'd like to consider the Lodge for a WORK/TRAINING CONFERENCE or Group/Family
REUNION, we would be glad to customize an entire week. Please contact us directly and we
can discuss your parties' needs.
The advantage to the apartments is they provide more individual space (private bedroom,
bath, kitchen) vs the homes. There is an additional 3000 + sq ft of public covered space
which is available to ALL patrons. (TV room, library, BBQ area, hammocks, outdoor lounge,
etc)
However, if one home does not completely suit your needs, but you need a bit more space,
consider adding a kitchenette.
By making a reservation, you and all parties in your group have read and
agreed to the waiver, located on the waiver page. Our lodge location is in a very
beautiful and natural setting. However, there are always inherent risks in the
natural world. Our lodge is a safe, pristine location surrounded by the sea and
jungle.
Transportation:
In Panama City, we use Jose' Seanz, a local transport coordinator.

for intra-city transportation. His drivers speak english, the cars and buses are clean and they
are normally on time. We suggest you contact Jose directly and supply him your logistics
details. He will coordinate meeting you at the Tocumen International Airport (Panama City)
and bringing you to a quality hotel. We normally stay at the Hotel El Parador, now.(~ $60 per
night) The El Parador has an outdoor pool on the rooftop which gives you a great view of
Panama City and heat relief for your first night in Panama City. Jose can make you a
reservation at the El Parador, or another quality hotel of your choice. The El Parador location
is excellent for shopping, restaurants and casinos...
Also transfers to the Al Brook airport for the flight to Bocas del Toro island can be coordinated
by Jose'. All transport and hotel fees are paid by you directly to Jose'. Please see our
transportation/logistics page for the protocol on flights, etc. By the way, there is no
commission for us. We just pass this information on to allow you to coordinate a nice
welcome and safe passage in Panama City. If you'd like us to organize this we can, for a
small fee.
Bocas Airport Pickup:
In Bocas, we can arrange for you to be met by a local taxi driver. Taxi drivers charge, 4
persons, around $30 for the trip to the Lodge. (A bit more as the group's become larger).
The trip by car to/from town is about 40 minutes. Most of the ride is paved, but there is about
2.5 miles of hard packed/rocky roads our howeowner's maintains.
Mark recommends - Come by boat to Drago - We can now have you met at the airport, given
a quick shopping tour of town and whisked out by boat to Drago beach, or our beach (weather
permitting). This way your bags and food are brought out by car and your party comes in by
boat. It is a great introduction to Bocas and gets you in the water and on the beach, ASAP. If
the boat lands in Drago, there is the restaurant there for food and refreshment. If you want the
captain to tour you around some, he can, they'll just be an extra time and gas charge. But this
is a great way to start your vacation in Bocas. Price = $60 minimum, up to four persons. We
can get larger boats for bigger groups. (Price is typically $15 per person to capacity of the
boat)
Transportation:
We have two vehicles that are available on a daily, or hourly basis. Our Mitsubishi Montero
4x4 or Jeep Cherokee seat five each , with a rack on top for 'stuff' ....The vehicles rent for $40
per day (24 hours) + gas. Since the main island is 10 miles long and 4 miles wide, it is worth
it to rent the vehicles for a day, or two, and do your own self paced tour. You can also do any
shopping and dining while you're out and about.
Taxis can also be called and scheduled. To the seafood restaurant, Yarisnori, 2.5 miles
away, is $10.00, each way. The pool vehicles can be used for a flat fee of $20, to the Yarisnori
restaurant. That way you can take your time and not be concerned with taxis for the return.
Reservation procedure:
For reservations, we require the first 50% of your reservation total to secure your lodging and
dates. The remaining 50% is due 30 days before your arrival. We have to do this to minimize
the amount of cash held at the Lodge. We do not have credit card service at the Lodge.
Please use the PayPal interface available with the 'Buy Now' button on the left of this page.
Simply enter in your deposit $ amount for the 'Quantity' field in the Pay Pal interface. This
allows a secure transaction and payment assurance for you. We never see your credit card
number. PayPal is the online payment system utilized and developed by Ebay.
To reserve Lodging, simply calculate your number of nights at the Lodge. For example, 7
nights (Saturday night thru Friday night) times $rate per night = $Total. This rate excludes
local lodging taxes.
No charge for children two and under. (If you dare to bring them...)
If you are not comfortable with the Pay Pal interface, please send personal checks to Mark
Rush, 245 Mushroom Dr, Bayfield, CO, 81122. Our USphone # is 970-884-4320. If you have
any questions, please feel free to call this number at any time.
If you do think you will participate in some of our activities you might want to add a few$ to
your final reservation payment to cover these, or meals, or taxes. That way you do not
need to carry several hundred $ on hand to pay for these. That also helps us to minimize
our cash on hand needs at the Lodge. Your decision...
Refund Policy:
We can provide you a full refund given a 30 day cancellation notice.
For cancellations given less than 30 days, we need to factor in whether we are able to rent
the subject lodging for the days which were reserved. If we can rent those 'days cancelled',
there will only be a $50 service charge. For those days, we are not able to rerent we will need
to hold your deposit $ to cover those 'non rented' days.
No shows = no refund.
Exceptional circumstances can be discussed further and mitigated fairly.
We have used this policy in managing properties in Colorado for years and it has worked
fairly for all involved.
